encaustics​

2013 - 2014

"Lately, I have been painting with hot beeswax, using the encaustic process to produce a series of abstract landscapes.  This rather amorphous medium, which cools quickly and forces me to work spontaneously, allows me to express myself with a liberating  immediacy.  The resulting landscapes are another extension of the story of place that has followed me from landscape architecture to art."
